Yes I wanna come back.. from this slumber.. give back what I have in me…

Jab they met…

When a wandering wizard, chanced upon the random paths of a self proclaimed vagabond, thoughts overlapped. For, the wizard could work upon the wheel of words and the vagabond spoke through potent images. Did life stand still when the two exchanged their first greetings? We don’t think so, for both joined in a quest of wielding images and powerful thoughts. And my new blog –  A Vagabond and A Wizard  is a portrait of such efforts.

Take A Tour >>

To you I will always return…

It started out as a feeling
Which then grew into a hope
Which then turned into a quiet thought
Which then turned into a quiet word
And then that word grew louder and louder
‘Til it was a battle cry
I’ll come back
When you call me
No need to say goodbye
Just because everything’s changing
Doesn’t mean it’s never
Been this way before
All you can do is try to know
Who your friends are
As you head off to the war
Pick a star on the dark horizon
And follow the light
You’ll come back
When it’s over
No need to say good bye
You’ll come back
When it’s over
No need to say good bye
Now we’re back to the beginning
It’s just a feeling and no one knows yet
But just because they can’t feel it too
Doesn’t mean that you have to forget
Let your memories grow stronger and stronger
‘Til they’re before your eyes
You’ll come back
When they call you
No need to say good bye
You’ll come back
When they call you
No need to say good bye

Roll Call

These two words do stir in us the sweet memories of childhood – the good old school days (Forget about those excitement filled college days when these two words were not at all existent 😉 ) School, a place where we started to know about the world around us, a place we started to grow as a human, a place where we learnt to dream and to share our dreams. But even in this tender age too, these words meant and still does mean different thing to some. To them roll call takes the form of the call of the hotel owner, or of the strolling customer in the street, or of the yell of the incapable (sometimes unwilling) yet  compelling father for going to work. They can see other mates of their age going to school but themselves can’t do so. Yes that’s the socio-economic structure we are all accustomed with.

Now with the RTE Act coming into force , the scenario is expected to change but the kind of infrastructure that is present in some states, it will be very difficult to achieve this end. For that we need to play our part as well. As a techie, I have tried to play my part in the past and is willing to play it at present and in future as well. This time let every one of them be present in the classroom and respond to MASTERJI.

At last an eventful one and half months ended with the penultimate semester. Really it was studded with lots of twists and turns, some thrills, some heart breaks, some uncertainty and some joy. Nevertheless it was one of the important periods of my life. Now I can relax a bit and again start strolling along the Random Paths.

A weird fantasy

The time was 7:30 in the evening. I along with Anindit and Avik was standing at the Science City bus stop. We were returning from Kolkata Book Fair. Suddenly, Anindit asked, “Tell me your weirdest (not wildest) of fantasies”. Hearing that our mind travelled far and wide thinking about what could be the one. In fact we tried to fabricate the weirdest of the ideas but none of us could find one. Suddenly, I remembered something which I had thought about a year ago. In fact I had completely forgotten about that. I don’t know how and why it reappeared.

I said, “I don’t know whether it’s weird or not but I think it may be my candidate. It goes like this….

… Suppose our world is transformed into one where everybody will still fall in love, spend their life with their companion… will live and die for each other but once a relation (of love)  comes to an end the two persons concerned (automatically) lose all the memories of their relationship…. everything – from the most cherished ones to the most painful of them. It would be a really different experience to be a part of that world.

Hearing that, Anindit just said, “Really weird!”

I just smiled 🙂

5:10 a.m.

Just awoke… the clock is showing 5:10a.m. It’s raining outside. The environment is really captivating, with the rain drenched twilight reverberating with the pitter patter. The light of the monitor is blinking. Don’t know when it went to sleep. Last night really had a sound sleep after a long time. Thought of listening to some soothing music. So played the MAJHI RE from The Bong Connection. I really like the song.

The past 1 month has really been eventful, both mentally and physically. It all started with the semester exam. Though I was not at all in my confident self , yet somehow went through the papers and quite expectedly one of them was the worst given paper till now. SHE said that she was surprised to see this self of mine… I just smiled 🙂 (really I couldn’t do anything other than that!). In the mean time had a fruitful chat with Ranodeb Da. The theory papers were over and then it was time to start the MSP (Microsoft Student Partners) works. The practical exam schedule really got intertwined with the MSP sessions. Conducted my first session as an MSP on 19th. It was ok but not like what I wanted it to be. In the meantime the facebook event happened… one day I saw an update in my facebook homepage that really startled me. I checked it out. Initially it saddened me but after that I really found myself free and relieved. I have really messed up the life with that. Tirtho was right. I thank Facebook… it really helped me to get myself out of the mess… Anyways the next few sessions were really good.

But things have started going right again. Firstly it was the welcome letter from Microsoft India for becoming the MSP. Then I received the books from them. The three practical exams are also good so far. Hopefully the remaining 1 goes fine as well. Slowly but surely I’m getting my confidence back. Thank God!

Thinking of going to the roof to get drenched in the rain. I haven’t done so for many days…
